Advanced Licensing Protection Server
ALPServer, Di-O-Matic's Advanced Licensing
Protection Server, is a required component of all Di-O-Matic products and
supports both local and network authorization methods.
The Local Authorization
is the most commonly used method for authorizing a Di-O-Matic application. The
application license will be locked to a specific computer. This method is
recommended to users who are not on a network, and do not need to share the
application in a work-environment.
ALPServer also allows Network
Authorization (also known as floating license); this configuration is ideal
for larger production houses who wish to to share licenses of an application
across a Local Area Network (LAN). A single computer is used as the license
manager and is in charge of distributing licenses across the network.
A Network
Authorization allows multiple users to share use of an application.
You don't have to buy a copy of the
application for each computer on your network. Instead you may share the number
of purchased licenses.

Advanced Licensing Protection Server
A floating license allows multiple users to share use of
an application, whereas a normal license is locked down
to a single computer.
Floating licences have become the
norm for professional software licensing.
Don’t let the competition get you down with more
flexible licensing.
Introducing ALPServer SDK,
Di-O-Matic’s Advanced Licensing Protection Server is now
available to protect your applications. Enable your customers to save
money by purchasing only licences for the number of
people who will be using your product at any time, while
affording them the freedom to install your product on as
many workstations as they please.
ALPServer is already used by several leading software developers
and production studios for proprietary applications
which require flexible licensing options.

Boomer Labs has
used ALPS for the past 6 years. Integration of the
protection toolset into our existing code was
straightforward and painless. ALPS also meets our
client's licensing needs, they are particularly happy
with the floating license support as it provides them
with flexible deployment options. I would
recommend ALPS for any organization looking for an
out-of-the-box software licensing solution. |
